Your mother should get her passport if they have not already.

What does your mother think of these two cities? If external nature or someone who is taking up with other tourists in vans or buses prefer?

Chiang Mai has more to do in the evening. Chiang Mai has an excellent tourist infrastructure, where you can get guided tours of websites, tribes, peoples, Long Neck Women, Golden Triangle (Chiang Rai area) and elsewhere. You can visit with the elephants, rafting (or not) has in his spare time.

Chiang Rai is good, but not so much to do. In Chiang Mai he could leave his belongings in a hotel in Chiang Rai, and visit with a tour company. Tours can be obtained by a travel agency in your area (there are many) or even converted some hotels. Tour Company takes you to Chiang Rai and return you to your hotel in Chiang Mai. Night Tours can also be arranged.

If it's the kind of adventure, you can also use your own transport to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai dor her own thing. Chiang Mai is easily accessible from Bangkok. Talk about the train the night train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. It may be a new adventure for them when they traveled abroad before.

If you get the sleeper train tickets, as soon as you arrive in Bangkok. Do not jump to Bangkok, where he not been there. You can buy tickets to Chiang Rai and Chiang Rai, if you want a travel agency in Bangkok. Choose a hotel near the Skytrain route. The Skytrain has connections for the metro, the subway goes directly to the national station.

ํ welcomed her mother in Thailand.

I would recommend a visit to Chiang Mai, as the case is much to see and back so many memories. It is the largest and most culturally important in the north of Thailand.

I can assure you it will be a great time.

See the two. These are just three hours. They will certainly know to appreciate and never forget you beautiful nature, you see, including the hill tribes and the beautiful nature that would be difficult in a search for "modern cities" of today. Mountains, waterfalls, jungle trekking, elephants at work, rafting, etc, etc, come and not be disappointed!
